Issame holds a Ph.D. in immunology and bioinformatics and spent more than 15 years as a management consultant in healthcare and pharma leading competitive intelligence and medical excellence, launching brands across the EU and US in multiple therapeutic areas, shaping EU policy, and implementing clinical and medical programs. That work put him close to the operational reality behind the regulations: supply chains held together by trust, spreadsheets, and reconciliations that no one could fully verify when something went wrong.
He founded PharmaTrace to fix that at the record level, giving the pharmaceutical supply chain a way to prove product integrity, not just promise it. Since then, PharmaTrace has built and deployed its track-and-trace platform on Hyperledger Fabric and secured a 300,000 HBAR grant through Hedera's THRIVE program to develop a regulated supply-chain DePIN. The company is backed by Plug and Play Ventures.
